Site: 500m² plot in sea-side village inside national park.

Construction: timber frame, fibre-cement

On a sloping site and with limited access, timber frame construction has the least environmental impact. The form and scale of the building is subservient to the national park and the protected fynbos plant biome that surrounds this village – the Cape Town Planning By-law (based exclusively on plot size) takes no cognisance of this at all!
